Haddeo Cottage: No 2 Bury
Self catering accommodation on Exmoor for holiday letting: sleeps 6
Haddeo Cottage, Grade II Listed period cottage for holiday letting in the Exmoor National Park authentically furninshed and well equipped.
Formerly known as No2 Bury, it is a three bedroom traditional stone cottage, attached to the neighbouring cottage, but entirely private with a high hedge surrounding the garden. The old cottage, consisting of just two bedrooms, was extended about 15 years ago to provide a further bedroom, a modern kitchen and upstairs bathroom. The sitting room has a woodburner set in a large open fireplace. There are the original slate flagstones in the two reception rooms which have the original beam ceilings, oak flooring and fitted oak cupboards, sourced from the Haddeo woodlands upstairs, and leaded windows. The roof is Welsh slate. The garden is large and backs onto Bury Woods. On the other side of this small hamlet are the much larger Haddeo Woodlands. Both were originally joined by Lady Harriet’s Drive leading down from Pixton Park.
Fishing is available on the River Haddeo by private agreement with the owners of the estate.
Dogs and other pets are welcome. Horse livery available at nearby farm. Off road horse riding available by arrangement.

Facilities: equipped kitchen, fridge, oven with hob, large garden, bike storage in the adjoining stone bothy, bath with shower.
Parking: to the left of the house within its curtillage, although care must be taken not to block the public right of way.
